Elizabeth is now 21 months old. I can't believe how much she has grown, and how much she is talking these days!
Whenever we drive somewhere in the car, she'll sing or talk almost the entire way. Very loudly! Favorite songs are "I love you" from Barney (the one show I swore she'd never watch!). She usually will just sing "I love you" over and over again, which is just precious. I'll take that any day! Sometimes we'll hear the word "happy" shouted from the backseat, from the song "If you're happy and you know it," another favorite.
She loves reading books, and we must read at least 3-4 books at bedtime, or there's serious trouble.
Elizabeth refers to herself as "Ellie" when asked, but it comes out more like "E-yye."
Other favorite new words for her:
Pillow
Sleeping
Boo Boo
Bahney (Barney)
"Yo Gabba Gabba" (a new to her TV show that only comes on at Nana's house)
Mess!
Uhoh
Mouse
Jesus
Bible
Monkey
Going to getcha! (usually said to Buddy the dog)
And of course, she still loves saying "NO!" What toddler doesn't? Some behaviors we're still trying to curb include:
Trying to jumping over the back of sofa (and almost giving me a heart attack in the process)
Throwing food!
Overall, pretty normal toddler behavior!
We are also the owners of two training potties, one upstairs and one downstairs. We're trying to gradually introduce the idea of potties and using one. She likes to examine them and take them apart (and play the music on her princess potty), and occasionally will sit on one, fully clothed. But I don't know if they are "real" enough for her yet? The other night she pointed at the kiddie pottie and asked "Where's de water?"
More updates to come!
