Earlier this month we celebrated Nanny's 80th birthday in South Carolina. Elizabeth did so well on the drive out, and we had a wonderful time surprising Nanny. Happy birthday, Nanny, we love you!

I also attempted to capture Elizabeth with the pink bunny she's had since she was a newborn. Look how much she's grown!
Now we are trying to "potty train" the bunny.
Speaking of animals and bunnies, we also took a visit to feed miniature animals at a local petting zoo. Elizabeth's favorite animals were the chubby bunnies (they were the only things NOT miniature). She loved them because they were clean, quiet and so SOFT! Here we are with a miniature goat. They were so cute.
This was our favorite rabbit. They were all very gentle, but HUGE. Elizabeth kept pointing to him and saying "dog!" 
Here's a lamb, who was trying to nurse all of the adult sheep without much luck. There was also a newborn black lamb who was adorable too.
Here we are again with the new potty from Nana and Papa. She had fun sitting on it, but now seems unsure (see above shot with the bunny). We are waiting to see if she takes more of an interest. It is the "royal princess potty" which sings a royal tune when used "successfully."

Elizabeth is talking more and more each day. For the past week, the first thing she's said each morning when she wakes up (even at 5 am today when she woke up VERY early for some unknown reason), is DOG!! DOG!!!
She loves our dog Buddy and we frequently catch her trying to give him a huge hug. He is very gentle with her although sometimes he looks at us for help.
Elizabeth also knows the words and motions to the song "Wheels on the Bus." She especially likes the "Shh Shh" that the "mamas" sing and the "Waah waah" sounds and motions that the babies make. It is SO cute to see her "sing it."
Her other new favorite" is to go on a wagon ride in the driveway. Whenever we pass her red wagon in the garage she will squeal "RIDE, RIDE," even if we are just heading to the car. And when she wants a snack, she'll run to the pantry, and yell "quackie, quackie" for cracker.
She is definitely a "girlie girl," so excited to buy new spring shoes earlier this month, yelling "shoe, shoe" at Stride Rite. She wore her new white shoes for the first time on Sunday, and looked SO excited about it!
There are so many adorable little things she says and does each day. I can't imagine what she'll be doing a month from now!
