Elizabeth has been cracking us up this week, as she seems to grow by leaps and bounds each day, and seems more like a little girl than a baby.
Just today...she stood up by herself for the first time! And, this occurred from a sitting position without any support from us or the ottoman. She stood unassisted for a few seconds, and then went 'plop' back onto her bottom, and looked at us like, "Did you catch that?" Hooray!
And then yesterday Elizabeth showed Justin a book that Nana always reads her, featuring a frog. Justin asked Elizabeth, "What's that?" (pointing at the frog) And Elizabeth answered, "Ribbit!"
Then today at the pool Elizabeth met a new girlfriend named Hadley, age 15 mos. They were playing so nicely together in the baby pool area, until Hadley took Elizabeth's frog toy. Elizabeth allowed this to happen a few times, especially since she was busy checking out Hadley's stash. But a few minutes later, Elizabeth took her toy back, and turned her back on Hadley so that the toy would be hidden. Hilarious! Clearly, we have a ways to go in 'sharing' our toys, but it caused all of the grown-ups to laugh.
