I love playing with Mommy's pots and pans!
I love ponies too!
...And I love Papa's moustache! He doesn't mind!
We are enjoying Elizabeth so much in this stage of "pre-toddlerhood," as one of my baby books calls the age before 15 mos.
She is getting more and more interactive each day, pointing to items of interest as we are out and about. Elizabeth is getting so verbal, and loves people watching. We were out to eat tonight, and she didn't want to eat anything because she was so busy watching the waiters go by, and laughing at them.
She can point at our dog, and say "Da dog," and yells 'da da' or 'da' when she sees Justin. She's also picking up on some baby signs and can sign for 'more,' and 'milk' (the sign for 'milk' is hilarious, looks like you are milking a cow with one hand), and 'all done!'
Her most favorite foods are sweet potato and banana, but not together of course! She also loves her "Yo Baby" organic banana yogurt. She thinks it is dessert!
Speaking of food, and the dog, her new favorite pasttime is to try to feed Buddy from her highchair. Which of course he loves! He has been getting very chubby lately!
Elizabeth is scooting all over, and kinda doing a 'wheelbarrow' walk, and walking with help. Three nights ago, she stood by herself for about 20 seconds, without realizing it.
The entire first floor is now 'babyproofed,' because our little princess is into EVERYTHING. We've 'barricaded'the den and kitchen, closing off the front of the house so she won't be able to go up the front staircase. She can pretty much roam anywhere on the first level without getting into anything, although she still loves to try to get into the VCR and pull it out of the entertainment center if the door is left open.
Today we went to the pool with her little friends Ruby and Camdon, and she watched in amazement as they jumped into the pool to their mommies. It's hard to believe that she'll be doing the same thing next summer. For now, she's content to hang out in her float, or have me hold her.
